Boudoir Session Spotlight - Wedding Edition - Miss M

When did the bridal boudoir shoots become a thing? Honestly, I don’t know the history on it, and maybe I should as a boudoir photographer (I’ll add that to my list of to-do’s). There is a definite reason why they are so powerful and popular. They are not only a great intimate and personal gift for a soon to be spouse, but they are completely empowering for the bride as well, and I always say bridal boudoir is a great excuse to do a session for YOURSELF. All reasons combined, they are here, and they are here to stay.

Today I wanted to share some of the magic we were able to capture during Miss M’s bridal boudoir shoot. She started the shoot nervous and a little frazzled, and by the time I was showing her the physical prints she was saying “Call me up Victoria’s Secret, I’m your new model!” That may sound cheesy, but it’s totally true! She ended up gifting her husband our glass box with 70 favorite prints. Now, this was the time I decided to test out how many prints could fit in the 5x7 glass box by printing ALL the images from her shoot. Yep, all 245 or so of them. Then I realized, oh only 70 fit in there….so Miss M had quite a few extras that I wrapped up in a pretty package for her. However, I am so glad I was able to gift her those printed images to use for the future or to look at and remember how beautiful she is. While everything is going digital these days, I truly believe in printed product. I had a full viewing session with Miss M where she saw her images for the first time fully edited, and it wasn’t until she held the physical prints in her hands, where I saw that SPARK of confidence, pride, and empowerment ooze out of her. It was amazing to see. I enjoyed all of my time with Miss M and hope you enjoy seeing a little sneak peek of what a boudoir session in our studio looks like.

With Love,

Mayela
